Overgive to What Is Worthy

Monica B.

The wisdom: "𝙊𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩'𝙨 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙝𝙮: 𝘼𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙝." 𝙄𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 (𝙝𝙚/𝙨𝙝𝙚/𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮/𝙞𝙩) 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙝 𝙞𝙩?

My story... The morning after my testimony the other day, I woke up on a wild vibe and saw a cheetah-patterned scarf I have in my mind's eye. So I listened, went with it, and rocked it out. My husband and I affectionately call this hijab Regal Cheetah.

It's not until this morning that I caught the wisdom for the overgiver in me. "Overgive to what's worthy: Allah."

While there is beauty (and crazy) in how I can go for broke for people (literally and figuratively), rebalancing requires generosity for my soul, risking others' opinions, if I must. And what I need most desperately is restoration in my spiritual life!

You see, Ramadan is coming; it's expected to begin the evening of Friday February 28th. After progressively sliding many years, I am not to wait until then to run forth in action and spirit. May Allah help me and you reach Ramadan!

If you are of overgiving spirit and ways, think this: Is this (he/she/they/it) worth it?
